K300 Million Allocated For The 2022 National General Election (NGE) Allegely Diverted to Government Minister Without Control BY JEFFREY ELAPA,  Post Courier, 02 June 2023. About K300 million allocated for the 2022 National General Election (NGE) has been allegedly diverted to fund government ministers without control. However, yesterday afternoon the Prime Minister James Marape responded that he was not privy to the report. The K300 million is from a total of K650 million allocated through for the 2022 National General election allocated through the 2022 National Budget. The 11 page Prime Minister’s special brief from the PNG National Intelligent Organization (PNGNIO) dated Monday 28 November, 2022 indicated a total of K650 million was allocated through the Budgetary allocation in the 2022 National Budget but only K350 million of the funding was released to the PNG Electoral Commission (PNGEC) while unconfirmed reports received by the NIO alleged that the reminder of K300 million was b

What big win for PNG?

What big win for PNG? by David Lepi - Former Progam Coordinator at Law and Justice Sector, Papua New Guinea. Foreign advisory group within the government must provide adequate advise to Prime Minister James Marape. PNG joined the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) group of states in 1993 and is a member since. The NAM was created in 1961 and it is explicit about its role in global politics. The NAM seeks to create an independent path in world politics that would not result in member States becoming pawns in the struggles between the major powers. The Defence Cooperation Agreement will certainly tip PNG away from its critical non-aligned balance in the Pacific. And this is something PM Marape needs to be enlightened. PNG is a member of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). We joined many other Pacific countries and pledged to the world that we will keep the South Pacific region free from the risk of nuclear proliferation, testing and alliance that may pose threat.  And t

KOMUN RIVER IN THE WESTERN HIGHLANDS PROVINCE OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA TURNING RED LIKE BLOOD

Image
JIWAKA/MT HAGEN RIVER KOMUN TURNING RED LIKE BLOOD MUST NOT BE TAKEN LIGHTLY by Henry Rovo via LinkedIn We cannot deny the fact that river turning red fulfills Bible prophecy. Apart from prophecy, RIVER turning red like blood can have different causes depending on the specific situation. Here are a few possibilities: Algae bloom: Certain species of algae can cause water to turn red. This phenomenon is known as a "red tide" and occurs when there is an overgrowth of algae in the water. Some species of red algae produce pigments that can give the water a reddish color. Pollution: River can turn red due to pollution from chemicals or other contaminants. For example, red water can be caused by iron oxide, which is a common pollutant in industrial wastewater. Natural phenomena: Some natural phenomena, such as erosion or sediment runoff, can cause water to turn red. Blood: In rare cases, water can turn red due to the presence of blood. This can occur if there has been a large-scale

PNG is Facing Fuel Crisis and Experiencing Worsening Economy How the Foreign Currency Issue is Fueling Papua New Guinea's Fuel Crisis and Worsening Economy by  Exepreneur Magazine 19 February 2023. Papua New Guinea (PNG) is currently facing a fuel crisis due to unresolved foreign currency (FX) issues that have left the country with a severe shortage of fuel. The issue of FX, or foreign exchange, is complex and has many economic variables such as GDP, inflation, economic growth, employment, and more. The ongoing standoff between PUMA Energy and the Bank of Papua New Guinea (BPNG) has brought this issue to the forefront and has raised questions about the sufficiency of the government's foreign currency reserves. The country's high inflation rate and the skyrocketing prices of goods and services have only compounded the fuel shortage issue, which has had a significant impact on the economy. The fuel shortage has caused disruptions to the aviation industry, with Airlines, force

Post Shitty Tabloid Courier is misleading and lately all their articles and headlines are never well investigated! by Grace Boker Mungkaje  PNG I believe does not have dual citizenship agreements with the Philippines. You can only be a dual citizen of PNG and the following prescribed countries: 1. Australia 2. Fiji 3. Germany 4. New Zealand 5. Samoa 6. United Kingdom 7. United States of America 8. Vanuatu After 18 years of age if you are a citizen of a country by birth, you have to decide which passport you retain. If you have a PNG passport by birth, then automatically it is rescinded once you obtain a foreign passport. Being born in PNG but now holding a foreign passport of a country we do not have this dual citizenship arrangement with does not allow you to receive the same benefits as a Papua New Guinean . If you want to receive the same benefits then you would have to renounce your foreign passport and only keep your PNG passport . For example I was born in Canada 🇨🇦 but my eth
