You can only be a dual citizen of PNG and the following prescribed countries: 1. Australia 2. Fiji 3. Germany 4. New Zealand 5. Samoa 6. United Kingdom 7. United States of America 8. Vanuatu After 18 years of age if you are a citizen of a country by birth, you have to decide which passport you retain. If you have a PNG passport by birth, then automatically it is rescinded once you obtain a foreign passport. Being born in PNG but now holding a foreign passport of a country we do not have this dual citizenship arrangement with does not allow you to receive the same benefits as a Papua New Guinean .
