Governor Allan Bird Demands Marape's Removal

Governor Allan Bird Demands Marape's Removal Allan Bird, the governor of East Sepik, is speaking out against how Papua New Guinea (PNG) is being run. He's not happy with Prime Minister James Marape and wants things to change. Allan Bird is becoming a big voice in the opposition party. He's known for being honest and talking about the problems people care about, like bad government and lack of honesty. He says people are tired of the government's decisions. One of the things Allan Bird is criticizing is the Connect PNG program. This program is supposed to improve roads and other infrastructure across the country. But Allan Bird says the money isn't being used properly. He wants to know where the money is going and if it's really helping people. This raises questions about whether the government is being honest about how it spends money. Allan Bird's speech has started a big discussion about who should be leading PNG and how the country should be run. He...

PNG FEMALE MP AT WORK - FUNDING A 4-IN-1 CLASSROOM AND THE HEAD MASTER'S HOUSE

We have committed funds to build a 4-in-1 classroom and the head master’s house at the junior high school this year.  We are also building water supply for the institution this year.  Next year, we will build dormitories. - HON. K. SAWANG, MP.

WYMPID 5/3/23:  WE’RE BUILDING BUGATI JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

by Hon. Kessy Sawang, MP, 06 March 2023.

I visited Bugati Junior High School to see progress of work at both junior high school & primary school.  Last year, we allocated some funds to build some infrastructure (teacher house & classroom).

The teacher house at the primary school will be opened in 3 weeks time.

We have committed funds to build a 4-in-1 classroom and the head master’s house at the junior high school this year.  We are also building water supply for the institution this year.  Next year, we will build dormitories.

I thank Bom, Lalok and surrounding communities for their undivided support to build our institution.  Appreciate also your big welcome, which I didn’t expect, as I was only doing my job.

Bugati High School was approved by PEB and established in 2020.  Currently, there is no infrastructure.  They are using primary school facilities.  The same story is for Erima and other junior high schools.

I raised this matter at the Provincial Assembly that the PEB must liaise with DDAs before establishing these schools.  We DDAs build the infrastructure.  I don’t want junior high schools mushrooming everywhere whilst teachers live in bush material houses and they borrow primary school facilities to teach.

Congratulations & appreciation to Mr Mewo, all teachers, students and community for your resilience and efforts.
