Governor Allan Bird Demands Marape's Removal Allan Bird, the governor of East Sepik, is speaking out against how Papua New Guinea (PNG) is being run. He's not happy with Prime Minister James Marape and wants things to change. Allan Bird is becoming a big voice in the opposition party. He's known for being honest and talking about the problems people care about, like bad government and lack of honesty. He says people are tired of the government's decisions. One of the things Allan Bird is criticizing is the Connect PNG program. This program is supposed to improve roads and other infrastructure across the country. But Allan Bird says the money isn't being used properly. He wants to know where the money is going and if it's really helping people. This raises questions about whether the government is being honest about how it spends money. MARKETING OFFICER



The National Development Bank (NDB) is a development finance institution, wholly owned by state of PNG. It operates 20 branches around the country and lends to individual Papua New Guineans and indigenous businesses operating in the agriculture and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise (MSME) sectors.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Officer is responsible for developing write ups and art works for specific marketing campaigns, promotional events and preparing annual reports from conception through to completion. Also to manage projects within the department and to assist with the implementation of the marketing strategies.  The ideal person must have broad experience doing corporate marketing campaigns and promotions through websites, be able to upload articles, audio files, images, marketing copy, photographs and videos to company websites, weblogs, and social media sites (Facebook, Twitter & YouTube).  Be able to monitor site traffic, request and interpret website visitor feedback, newsletter and membership enquiries, moderate blog comments, and respond to newsletter, membership and email requests.

 EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Applicant must have a degree in Marketing, Management, Information Technology or Business Studies from a recognized tertiary institution.

 EXPERIENCES & SKILLS

• Must have at least 2 years experience in a similar role.

• Must possess advance skills in report writing, publication writing, annual report writing, and graphic design skills.

• Experience in managing Brand and stories on social media.

• Excellent verbal and presentation skills.

• Experience with Content Management System or Adobe Dreamweaver (an advantage).

• Must have high level of personal discipline.

• Team player with good work attitude, and able to meet deadlines.

• A devoted person with strong work discipline, and an eye for detail.

MEDIA STATEMENT BY HON. JAMES NOMANE.  Appeal to MPs to Put the Country First (Monday 7 April 2025) Is Papua New Guinea better off since Honourable James Marape became Prime Minister in 2019? This is the key question that all MPs must ask themselves before the upcoming Vote of No Confidence (VONC) in April. All MPs must put the country first and not limit their focus to districts and provinces.  From 2019 to 2025 the cumulative budget total of the Marape government has been K156.8 billion, comprised of K39.9 billion (25%) debt financing and K116.9 billion (75%) tax revenue. This K39.9 billion debt is the highest incurred by any government since Independence and by the end of 2025 our national debt will reach K65.0 billion.
