Governor Wenge made this remark in relation to an issue of a foreigner who was caught in possession of dangerous illegal drugs in the country were again released without proper prosecution.  MINISTER POLYE USES SPORTS TO PROMOTE PNG PRODUCTS OVERSEAS The PNG Kumuls are not only worthy ambassador of the country in the rugby league space but also in trade and promoting PNG products overseas, says Sports Minister Don Pomb Polye. Taking a cue from Prime Minister, James Marape's recent four-nation tour, Minister Polye is integrating sports, higher education, trade and economic development for the country's progress in his ministerial engagement overseas.  Using sports as a platform, PNG Coffee has been promoted in the UK market, he said. The horrific road accident took lives of 14 people along the Highlands Highway at Tomba in the Western Highlands Province

FOURTEEN (14) DEAD IN TRAGIC ROAD ACCIDENT NBC News PNG Fourteen (14) people are dead in a tragic road accident along the Highlands Highway at Tomba in the Western Highlands Province, last Friday. Five others survived and are being treated in hospital. Its alleged a Toyota land cruiser occupied by three people - a male driver and two females - was travelling from Wabag to Mt. Hagen when it collided with a 25 seater PMV bus which was heading towards Wabag from Mt. Hagen. Police say the PMV bus was overloaded with cargo and passengers. Police are yet to establish the cause of the accident but according to eye-witnesses, both vehicles were travelling at high speed and failed to avoid each other. Police say 14 people - 7 males and 7 females - died at the accident scene while locals rushed to the scene to rescue those trapped inside the vehicles.
