Dr Yalinu Poya Gow FHEA, an expert in Environmental Science from Papua New Guinea, has recently commenced her role as a Lecturer at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS), within the School of Computing, Engineering and Physical Sciences (CEPS).
In this capacity, Dr Yalinu Poya Gow will be actively involved in delivering and enhancing the master's programs in Sustainable Technology and Waste and Resource Management.
Her responsibilities will extend to shaping educational strategies, curriculum design, and research, with a focus on learning, teaching, and assessment.
Having already garnered three years of experience in teaching at British universities, this marks Dr Yalinu Poya Gow's second year at the University of the West of Scotland.
Her journey in Higher Education has been a fulfilling one, and she is eager to bring her expertise to bear, supporting students, collaborating with fellow academics, and engaging in cutting-edge research at this forward-thinking institution.
Notably, UWS has been recognized by Times Higher Education as one of the top 150 universities worldwide under 50 years old, adding to the appeal of this new academic venture.
