Governor Allan Bird Demands Marape's Removal Allan Bird, the governor of East Sepik, is speaking out against how Papua New Guinea (PNG) is being run. He's not happy with Prime Minister James Marape and wants things to change. Allan Bird is becoming a big voice in the opposition party. He's known for being honest and talking about the problems people care about, like bad government and lack of honesty. He says people are tired of the government's decisions. Ruth Undi Siwinu: TRANSFORMING WOMEN THROUGH ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT AND THROUGH AGRICULTURE

My name is Ruth Undi Siwinu and I have seen the struggles and hardship women and especially Mother’s endure in our country, and I have committed and dedicated my time and resources to help alleviate their struggles in our rural communities.

Seeing the struggle and hardship our women in the rural villages endure, I have initiated programmes to help our local village mother's, through an established association I founded in 2017 known as the Mama Halipim Mama Foundation.

We started helping mothers in Eastern Highlands and Southern Highlands. My main focus is to empower our village mothers and women in our rural communities.

Our main emphasis through Mama Halipim Mama Foundation, is to train and assist our mothers in the rural communities in agricultural trainings and also to assist and enhance their knowledge in creating micro-SME pathways for the sole purpose to improve their livelihood and households in their rural communities.

I believe in empowering mothers because they hold the household together.

Therefore, empowering mothers in every household in our rural villages not only changes the family unit but the community as whole.
